Wrinkle Reducers

Untitled design-10

Worry lines, frown lines, laugh lines, crow's feet. These are called dynamic wrinkles and while we would all like to be thought of as dynamic, most of us would rather have our personalities as testament instead of the lines on our faces.

Wrinkle reducing, the treatment you've been hearing so much about. In fact, wrinkle reductions were the most commonly performed cosmetic procedure by plastic surgeons in 2019. Millions of people have achieved astonishing results without any adverse side effects, saying bye-bye to dynamic wrinkles and hello to smooth and youthful appearances.

Treatments are effective, affordable, and convenient. This type of treatment can be used in conjunction with a brow lift, facelift, eyelid surgery, laser skin resurfacing, and SculpSure Contouring and TempSure skin tightening to enhance and maintain results for longer periods of time.

We are so fortunate to have Dr. Pierre Mayrand MD, LMCC, CIME performing such treatments as wrinkle reducers and fillers at our Spa.

We are proud to offer services in both official languages.

Please visit us at the spa to meet Dr. Mayrand and enjoy a FREE consultation.

How Do Wrinkle Reducers Work?

This is a non-surgical treatment that smoothes wrinkles on the face, especially around the eye area and the forehead. A series of minute, gentle injections into isolated, specific muscles, these formulas block impulses from the nerve to the tiny facial muscles that are related to expression lines, relaxing the muscles so they do not contract.

After treatment, the overlying skin remains smooth and unwrinkled while the untreated facial muscles contract in a normal fashion, allowing normal facial expression to be unaffected. A procedure only takes 10 to 15 minutes to perform, it's quick simple and there is no downtime.

Wrinkle Fillers

There are all sorts of names for wrinkles and all sorts of reasons why we get them. But the bottom line is, even if we spent all those years laughing our heads off, we still don't want the visible proof of it on our faces. Wrinkle Fillers were created to smooth out those deeper wrinkles, especially ones created by sun damage and the aging process. Wrinkle Fillers add support and padding to the face for a younger more youthful appearance.

Wrinkle Fillers are injected underneath the skin — right underneath the wrinkle itself — and act as a physical support system for the skin. Wrinkle Fillers add foundation to the skin and collagen and hold up areas that have become indented.

Wrinkle fillers are injected into your skin to push the wrinkle outward, making the skin fuller and the wrinkle less noticeable. The skin is supported and padded. Skin is smoother, creating a more youthful appearance.

Juvederm is made of Hyaluronic acid, found naturally in your skin and other tissues. Juvederm treatments last 6 - 12 months.

Wrinkle fillers are especially effective on deep lines or wrinkles - the ones you can see even when your face is fully relaxed. They can also be used on any indentation in your skin, such as scars.

Wrinkle filler treatments are performed in the office. Anesthesia and topical creams are used to numb the treatment area. Wrinkle filler is then injected, using a very thin needle, and results can be seen immediately. You can get back to your normal activities the following day.

There is no pain after the injection. Immediately after the treatment, you can expect slight redness, swelling, tenderness or an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The discomfort is temporary and generally disappears within a few days.

The length of time of wrinkle correction varies depending upon the filler used and the severity of the wrinkle. For severe wrinkles, surgery is necessary to get the best and longest-lasting improvement.
